Before noon today, CT scans were taken of the first two patients at the X-ray Department of Fjörðungssykrahús in Ísafjörður.
Over the past few months, we have been working hard on the installation and completion of facilities for a new CT scanner, which has been collected under the leadership of a group of enthusiasts with the good participation of individuals, companies and associations.
It was necessary to undertake extensive changes in the X-ray department of the hospital, and the changes were more than had been calculated. After that, installation of the tomograph along with all the necessary accessories was started.
This morning, a large group of radiologists came to help with the first imaging, which went well.
At this juncture, the staff and management of the organization would like to take this opportunity to thank all the benefactors of the Health Center and Fjörðungssúkrahús in Ísafjörður for the great goodwill and affection they have shown now and in the past.
