During the autumn days, a group of enthusiasts started a collection for CT equipment for the Fjörðungssykrahún in Ísafjörður. The collection has been very successful and many people have shown interest in the matter.

At a press conference held in the institution's dining room on Ísafjörður yesterday, Eiríkur Finnur Greipsson presented the results of the collection that has been held in recent months for the purchase of a complete CT scanner for the institution.

At the meeting, it was revealed that a large number of associations, companies and individuals have put their hands to the plow and have now collected more than 17 million.

The staff and management of the organization would now like to take this opportunity to thank all the benefactors of the Health Center and Fjörðungssúkrahús in Ísafjörður for the great goodwill and affection they have shown now and in the past.

The necessary preparations for the installation of the device have begun, which include, among other things, the need for the digital production of X-rays along with changes to the premises.
Jón Kristjánsson, the Minister of Health and Insurance, has authorized that all necessary works be started immediately so that the device can be put to use as soon as possible.
