A total of 19 have been diagnosed with covid in the last few days on Patreksfjörður, eight of them today. The field board of civil defense in the southern region has met twice over the weekend to make its decisions. The contagion extends into kindergartens and primary schools, which, however, will continue to operate for the most part.
The virus is also widespread in other villages of the jaw and is extremely contagious.
We encourage people not to come to work or school at all if they feel the slightest symptoms, but to stay at home and go for sampling.
