A new nursing director has started work at Patreksfjörður, Hrafnhildur Ólöf Ólafsdóttir. Hrafnhildur is a nurse and came to the organization after working as a department manager for the homeless in Reykjavík. She has diverse and important experience working in the health and welfare system. Hrafnhildur took over the job in May.
The position of operations manager has also been hired. Magnús A. Sveinbjörnsson was hired, but he has administrative experience with children and youth affairs in Reykjavík.
Development of health services ahead
There is a reason to draw attention to the fact that an advertisement has been made open for applications for the position of head of the nursing and medical department on Patreksfjörður. The development of home care in the region will be the responsibility of the head of department, but there are great opportunities to do better.
Work is underway to prepare an extension to the building where a new nursing unit will be built. Is that project on its way to a design competition in the coming months.
