It has been decided that the Norwegian State Real Estate (FR) will take over the management and operation of real estate currently run by health institutions.
In the first phase (2008) will FR among other things, they take over the real estate of healthcare institutions in the Westfjords.
It consists in FR undertake the maintenance and renovation of housing in a similar manner as is already the case for secondary schools and law enforcement agencies.
Ministry of Health will apply for the necessary budgets for organizations that will cover the costs of housing leases in the future.
Representatives FR have already made a first visit to Ísafjarðarbær Health Institute and Bolungarvík Health Institute to study the situation.
