At the turn of the year 2005/2006, there will be a change in the salary processing of most of the country's health institutions.
The amendment states that the state has decided to introduce a central salary system which State financial administration will take care of.
Instead of each agency taking care of its own payroll processing, as has been the case, the payroll processing itself will now be carried out centrally in Reykjavík.
