The Epidemiologist, in collaboration with the Public Safety Department of the National Police, has published two instruction booklets for the influenza that is spreading around the world.

The brochures are published, among other things, to teach people and inform them about how to reduce the risk of infection and how people should behave in situations that may arise in connection with the flu. As is known, several cases of the influenza epidemic have been detected in Iceland, but so far the illness caused by the virus has been rather mild, the symptoms being similar to those of normal influenza. In addition to the information brochures that have now been published, there is reason to draw special attention to the following websites:

The brochures are available here in pdf format, but paper copies have been sent around the country and are in front of health centers and elsewhere.
