Björn Jóhannesson, a lawyer, visited the institute yesterday and came with a smile

Sigurgeir M. Jónsson in Engidal, had decided before his death that the value of his apartment in Hlíf II should go to the Health Institute on the one hand and Ísafjörður church on the other hand.

Medical director Þorsteinn Jóhannesson accepted this princely gift and reiterated the gratitude of management and employees, as such gifts are crucial in the renewal of equipment.

The idea is to fix the purchase of a new endoscopy device, as well as possibly furnishing a special endoscopy room connected to Sigurgeir in some symbolic way, in his memory.

In the picture you can see Þorstein Jóhannesson, medical director, and Helga Friðriksdóttir, chairman of the parish committee of Ísafjörður Church, receiving the gifts.
