Hjalti Sölvason has been appointed human resources and operations manager of HVEST for 1 year from May 14. He replaces Anna Gréta Ólafsdóttir, who had to retire after a short stay at Ísafjörður for family reasons.
Hjalti is a systems engineer by training, with an MBA degree in business administration from the University of Edinburgh and a degree in securities trading from Reykjavík University, among other things. He has extensive experience in consulting, management and human resources related to his education, most recently as a freelance consultant in the field of sales, marketing and operations abroad.
Apart from human resources, Hjalti will take on the new job of operations manager of HVEST's support departments and other areas of work, which previously came under the finance manager.
