Recently, new X-ray equipment was put into use after a thorough renovation of the hospital's X-ray department.
This fall, an important step was taken when the institute's old Hitachi x-ray machines were replaced. The old devices from 1983 were very worn and had long since fulfilled their purpose.
The new devices were obtained through a joint tender where identical devices were taken from Toshiba for the hospitals in Ísafjörður, Akranes and in Keflavík.
