Lúðvík Þorgeirsson has been appointed CEO of HVest from March 1 for the next five years. He took over the job from Gylfa Ólafsson.
Ludvík is a business analyst with an M.Sc. degree in corporate finance from the University of Reykjavík and is pursuing a master's degree in public administration at the University of Iceland with a focus on human resource management. For the past four years, Lúðvík has held the position of Operations Manager at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Market. Previously, he worked, among other things, at the Financial Supervisory Authority, where he headed an analysis department in one of the office's three core areas. He was for a time the insurance manager and deputy director at the European Risk Insurance Company in England. For years he was director of insurance and risk assessment at Actavis Group hf. and before that a director at Tryggingamiðstørn hf.
