The Vestfjörður Health Institute is looking to hire a radiologist for the position of head of the institution's imaging department in Ísafjörður. Work rate is 70 - 100% or according to agreement, day work with back shifts.

Project

  • Responsible for the staffing, operations and services of the imaging department. 
  • Works according to the laws that apply at any given time and follows the policies, priorities and goals that have been set for the organization when it comes to services, human resources and operations. 
  • Plans and manages the processing of imaging and other activities. Responsible for ensuring the quality of imaging and that the service is in accordance with the best knowledge at all times. 
  • The head of the department does daily work in the hospital's imaging department and does back shifts as a general radiologist to accommodate other staff in the department.

 

Qualification requirements

  • Icelandic work permit as a radiologist
  • Independence in working methods and the ability to work in a team
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Professional ambition and initiative in work
  • Icelandic language skills are a requirement

Salary

Salary according to the current collective agreement concluded by the Minister of Finance and the Economy and the Association of Radiologists.
