Thursday, September 5 at 14:00-17:00 an introductory meeting will be held on the project Getting older in the Patreksfjörður community hall. The moderator is Alberta Gullveig Guðbjartsdóttir, liaison advisor Gott ot eldars.
At the meeting there will be contract Vesturbyggðar and Vestfjörður's Health Foundation about integrated home care in the southern part of Vestfjörður is presented, Vesturbyggðar's leisure representative tells about the grant allocation from EBÍ that the municipality received for health promotion of senior citizens in the region, and finally psychologist Líney Úlfarsdóttir and musician Svavar Knútur will deliver the talk Raising awareness of healthy ageing: the impact of social isolation on quality of life.
Hrafnhildur Ólöf Ólafsdóttir, nursing manager of HVest in the southern part of Vestfjörður, and Arnheiður Jónsdóttir, division manager of the family division of Vesturbyggðar, will give a talk together with representatives of the home nursing team and the rehabilitation team of Patreksfjörður health care.
At the end of the meeting, coffee and an introduction to bag throwing and Boccia are offered. All are welcome.
