Influenza vaccinations start on October 14. and ends on November 29.
Vaccinations are available every weekday from 10:00 – 11:30 & 14:00 – 15:30 at the Vestfjörður Health Institute in Ísafjörður.
At centers outside Ísafjörður, vaccination will be carried out during the opening hours of the health care centers in Bolungarvík, Suðureyri, Súðavík and Þingeyri.
Flat Ears: Vaccination will take place at Flateyri on 16.10.2019 from 13:30 -14:30. Location: Bryggjukaffi.

Everyone who gets vaccinated has to pay arrival fee to the health center, but persons aged 60 and over, and those belonging to the following risk groups, receive the vaccine free of charge. Remember to present your discount and/or disability certificate upon arrival.
The epidemiologist recommends that the following risk groups receive priority for influenza vaccinations:
- All persons aged 60 and over.
- All children and adults suffering from chronic heart, lung, kidney and liver diseases, diabetes, malignant diseases and other immunosuppressive diseases.
- Healthcare professionals who care for patients in the risk groups above.
- Pregnant women.
It is also recommended that the same persons be vaccinated against pneumonia every 10 years.
