Dr. Hulda María Einarsdóttir signed in at the beginning of the month. She knows the Westfjords well, as this is not the first time she has worked at the Ísafjarðarbær Health Institute. Hulda was born

Hulda was born in Hafnarfjörður in 1973 but grew up in Sweden. She graduated from MR in 1992 and from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Iceland in 1999. During her candidacy year 1999-2000, she was at the Department of Surgery, the Department of Medicine and the Women's Department of Landspítalan, as well as regional work in Ísafjörður. She has also worked as a ward doctor in the following departments: Department of Medicine at Landspítala University Hospital (1 year) and was then also a supervising ward doctor. Then she was in an emergency vehicle and the accident department in Fossvogur (3 months) and the anesthesia department of Landspítala-Háskólasyúkrahús (6 months). After that, she took a job in the surgery department of Landspítal, but for about two years she studied by working in the following surgery departments: General surgery department, heart and lung, plastic, urology and brain and neurosurgery department along with a four-month stay in the surgery department of St. . Jósefsspítala in Hafnarfjörður. Hulda first worked at Ísafjörður around Christmas 1997, but she has always worked here as a substitute, for a total of 8-9 months. She will work here until the spring of 2005, when she will go to the United States for a special training in general surgery.
