Vaccinations in the northern part of Vestfjörður

Children born in 2006, 2007, 2008 and part of 2009 have been vaccinated. If any children have not made it, an open day will be offered in September.

On Thursday, September 2, older people who received Pfizer will be offered a booster dose. 13 weeks must have passed since the second Pfizer injection. 

The schedule for Thursday is as follows:

  • 10 and 10:30 Cover. Residents receive a ticket telling them when to show up. Vaccination will be done in Hlífar's dining room.
  • 11:15 People with home care in Ísafjörður, Suðavík, Flateyri and Suðureyri and others aged 80 and over. Vaccination will be in the dining hall of the Vestfjörður Institute of Health. 
  • 13:15 Residents of Árborg and others aged 80 and over. Vaccination will take place in the community center in Bolungarvík. 

Vaccinations in the southern part of Vestfjörður

Children born in 2006, 2007, 2008 and part of 2009 have been vaccinated. Parents of children who have not been vaccinated at this time are advised to contact the health care in Patreksfjörður.

Next week, a booster dose will be offered to those aged 70 and over.
