The wards of the Vestfjörður Health Foundation recently received a bathroom lift, which is a gift from Hráðfrystihúsin Gunnvöru ehf and Margrétar Leósdóttir's Memorial Foundation. The lift is very useful, it can lift a patient in a lying or sitting position from floor level up to more than a meter from the floor. In this way, it is now possible to bathe with little effort, whether in a shower or a bathtub, for all those who find it difficult to move. The lift is powered by an electric motor and has a built-in scale.
