About 550 people gathered at the Hospital in Ísafjörður this afternoon and protested against the planned cuts in the health care system.
Many wore something red to represent the blood draw that would be required to complete the cut. The announcers said: "Let's all meet and send a clear message to the government, with their actions our safety is threatened and living conditions are disrupted." The protest started at 12:30 and lasted until 13.
In the picture you can see part of the protestors, but the chain reached the circle around the hospital and was doubled in sections.
