A large group of Patreksfjorden who have been traveling in a defined danger zone have now arrived or are on their way home. About 20 people came on March 15th and about 50 will come on March 17th. Everyone must go into quarantine upon arrival. The group was on a company trip.

The Vestfjörður Health Institute has been in contact with the group's tour guide, who says everyone is asymptomatic. Everyone will be contacted upon arrival in the country to clarify quarantine instructions.

Disability has put an end to the travels of the first group in this country, and it is possible that the second group will also have trouble getting home due to the weather. Despite this, it is important that quarantine rules are followed to reduce the chance of infection.

No one has been diagnosed with Covid infection in the district. New website, Covid.is, publishes useful information for the public about everything related to the virus. There is also numerical information as new as possible.
