The Epidemiologist has recommended that all persons born between 1981 and 1985 be vaccinated against mumps.
In Epidemic news of the epidemiologist states that 73 persons have been confirmed to have mumps between May and November 2005. Last autumn, the epidemic was considered to be on the decline, but now it has become clear that it is increasing if anything.
The health department therefore encourages all persons born between 1981 and 1985 to be vaccinated with MMR (one shot).
The vaccination is free of charge for this group.
