Influenza vaccinations have started at the Vestfjörður Health Center in Ísafjörður and Patreksfjörður. Certain priorities have been set up and the health service has sent letters to the priority groups and vaccinations will begin. There has been considerably more attendance at vaccination than often before, and it is not certain that everyone who wants to attend will be able to attend. Priority groups include all those who have reached the age of 60 and those with underlying risk factors such as heart disease, diabetes, respiratory disease or ischemic heart disease. Bookings are made by phone 450-4500 between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm every weekday.

When the vaccination of these groups is completed, general vaccination will be opened. It will be announced in more detail here on the website of the Vestfjörður Health Institute when it arrives.

You can read about influenza vaccination on the website of the National Health Service.
