Sigríður Ólöf Ingvarsdóttir, who has been working in recent years as a midwife in the institution's maternity department, has been hired as a nursing director at Þingeyri.
As is known, the nurse has not had a permanent residence in Þingeyri in recent years.
Dýrfjörður residents have been taken care of from Önundarfjörður, and Bjarnheiður Ívarsdóttir, nursing manager at Flateyri, has taken care of that service.
Now changes are coming because the organization has finalized the appointment of Sigríðar Ólafar Ingvarsdóttir as a nursing director based in Þingeyri from June 1st.
It is expected that it will be fully operational on June 15th.
