Hilmar Þorbjörnsson, a new father, was not overly impressed by the old and shabby televisions in the maternity ward. He took it upon himself to collect 2 new flat screens and delivered them to the department. Last April 20, 6 days after the birth of his daughter. This is well done!
These are two Panasonic Viera 32″ LCD televisions from BT with a total value of around ISK 320,000. BT was also the biggest sponsor of the gift and their representative, Benedikt Hreinn Einarsson, was present at the handover.
Ásthildur Gestsdóttir and Halldóra Karlsdóttir, midwives, received the devices, along with nursing and medical directors.
