The Epidemiologist recommends that the following risk groups receive priority:
- All persons aged 60 and over.
- All children and adults suffering from chronic heart, lung, kidney and liver diseases, diabetes, malignant diseases and immunosuppressive diseases.
- Healthcare professionals who care for patients in the risk groups above.
- Pregnant women.
Vaccination for priority groups is free.
Vaccination for those who do not belong to these groups will be announced later.
Vaccination for covid-19 is independent of the type or number of previous doses, but you can read more about the arrangement on the website epidemiologist.
Ísafjörður and the surrounding area
Influenza vaccinations start on October 30. and ends on November 30.
Vaccination for influenza and covid-19 vaccination simultaneously will take place on the following days at the Vestfjörður Health Institute in Ísafjörður:
- Monday, October 30 at 10:00–11:00 and 13:00–14:00.
- Wednesday, November 1 at 10:00–11:00 and 13:00–14:00.
- Friday, November 3 at 10:00–11:00 and 13:00–14:00.
Influenza vaccination only takes place at the Vestfjörður Health Center in Ísafjörður:
- Tuesday, October 31 at 10:00–11:30 and 13:00–14:00.
- Thursday, November 2 at 10:00–11:30 and 13:00–14:00.
