The Westfjords Health Institute is advertising for a psychologist in the institution's mental health team.
The work is divided between the organization's mental health team and Provide support, advice and professional guidance for staff, as well as involvement in education and other projects.
The job is not location-based, but it is desirable to have a regular presence in Ísafjörður. For example, one week every 4-6 weeks or by agreement.
Efforts are being made to ensure that mental health services will be available in the entire district of the institution, including telehealth services, and it is considered that a psychologist will work partially or entirely remotely.

Project
- Services to clients of the Westfjords Health Institute through telehealth services and/or on-site.
- Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and mental health services in the region.
- Support and advice to staff.
- Participation in the further implementation of telehealth services.
- Participation in the development of a mental health team.

Qualification requirements
- Clinical studies in psychology and work permit from the Office of the National Medical Examiner
- Knowledge and experience of evidence-based methods
- Experience in diagnosing and treating adults with mental health problems
- Excellent communication skills
- Positivity and initiative at work
- Interest, ability and professional ambition to work both independently and in a team
- Good general computer skills
- Icelandic language skills are a requirement
Salary
