The Norwegian Institute of Health has now approved the purchase of a new device for ophthalmologists, the so-called optical layer device.
It's from Nikon and it's called Retinomax 2 and it's more handy than the old one in that it's a hand-held device that can be used for visual field measurements on people who have more difficulty accessing a table-top device. Ophthalmologist Þóra Gunnarsdóttir put the device into use today.
