On Friday, December 17th last, the result of the collection for CT equipment was announced.
The representatives of the fundraising for CT equipment for the Ísafjörður Health Institute presented the representatives of the Fjörður Hospital in Ísafjörður with a gift certificate in the amount of 21.5 million ISK just before Christmas.
?Almost 20 million was collected, but the rest was interest. We are extremely moved by how well we managed to collect for the device, but we, the representatives of the collection, are saddened by how long it took us to return this gift, but it was due to uncontrollable causes. We are extremely moved by how well it was done and by the generosity of people, but the gifts were all on the scale and up to 2 million ISK?, says Eiríkur Finnur Greipsson, who handed over the gift certificate to a crowded place where the relatives of the collection and the hospital staff were gathered .
The device itself cost about 11 million ISK, and the excess money will be deposited into the memorial fund of Úlf Gunnarsson, a former doctor, and used for the purchase of equipment. (news and photo from bb.is)
At this juncture, the staff and management of the organization would like to take this opportunity to thank all the benefactors of the Health Center and Fjörðungssúkrahús in Ísafjörður for the great goodwill and affection they have shown now and in the past.
