The Westfjords Health Institute is looking to hire a head chef for the kitchen at Bergur Nursing Home in Bolungarvík. This is a shift job where you work in shifts from 8 am to 2 pm and every other weekend. We are looking for a positive individual with a strong service spirit. Bergur has a close-knit and cheerful team where cooperation and professionalism are emphasized. It is desirable that the applicant can start work on June 1st, but otherwise by agreement.
Project
Preparing food in the cafeteria and creating menus. Purchasing and managing food supplies. Supervising support staff. Supervising cleaning, equipment and utensils in the kitchen.
Qualification requirements
- Experience as a food consultant or similar job.
- Independent and disciplined work style.
- Good Icelandic skills.
Salary
Salary according to the current collective agreement concluded by the Minister of Finance and the Economy and the relevant trade union.Contact person/s
