According to it, institutions will be united in three health districts. This marks the completion of the merger of health institutions in all the country&#039;s health districts, identically <a href=\"http:\/\/www.althingi.is\/lagas\/nuna\/2007040.html\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\">Act on Health Services No. 40 of 200<\/span>7<\/span> <\/a>assume<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>The Vestfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Health Foundation and the Patreksfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Health Foundation will be merged into the Vestfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Health Foundation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>The health institutions in Bl\u00f6ndu\u00f3s, Sau\u00f0\u00e1rkr\u00f3k, Fjallabygg\u00f0, the health centers in Dalv\u00edk and Akureyri and the \u00deingeyinga Health Institute will be merged into the Nor\u00f0urland Health Institute.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>The health institutions of the Southeast, South and the Vestmanna Islands will be merged into the Health Institute of the South.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The mergers will take effect on October 1st, when new CEOs will take over the combined organizations. The positions of the three CEOs will be advertised as open for applications, and the application deadline is August 1.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of merging health care institutions is to strengthen operational and management units, increase safety in communities with good health care, and make better use of funds.
