The old devices from 1983 were very worn and had long since fulfilled their purpose.<\/p>\n<p>The new devices were obtained through a joint tender where identical devices were taken from Toshiba for the hospitals in \u00cdsafj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sha.is\">Akranes<\/a> and in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hss.is\">Keflav\u00edk<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the picture you can see the new X-ray machines in use.<br \/><br><\/p>\n<p><img src='\/hvest\/gamlar_myndir\/l_image5108e244d41d7.jpg'><br \/><em><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Chief: THOUGH<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recently, new X-ray equipment was put into use after a thorough renovation of the hospital&#039;s X-ray department.
