This is the result of the screening by the Vestfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Institute of Health and the Icelandic genetic analysis that took place at the end of last week. Of the 417 samples, all turned out to be negative, but 33% residents in the area came in for sampling, which took place in the community center in Patreksfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;It is good news that no community infection has been detected. There is, however, a strong consensus among the residents not to slack off and to continue to follow the recommendations of the quarantine authorities,&quot; says Svava Magnea Matth\u00edasd\u00f3ttir, head of nursing at Patreksfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;It is very positive news that all the tests turned out to be negative,&quot; says CEO Gylfi \u00d3lafsson.<\/p>\n<p>No infections have been detected in the area. One person with legal residence in the area has been infected, but stayed outside the district. Unlike the northern part of the Westfjords, there have been no special restrictions in force in the southern part beyond what is nationally.
