Two nurses from the institute went and worked at Landsp\u00edtala&#039;s hemodialysis unit for two weeks and attended training on how to use the machine. The first client has already arrived for hemodialysis in the emergency department. A young Icelandic citizen, who has had to stay in a hospital hotel in Reykjav\u00edk for almost two months, now receives this vital service here in his hometown.<\/p>\n<p>The Vestfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Health Institute has entered into an agreement with Landssp\u00edtala for cooperation on hemodialysis. That contract was signed this weekend when the device was put into use at the Hospital in \u00cdsafj\u00f6r\u00f0ur.<\/p>\n<p><img src='\/hvest\/gamlar_myndir\/l_image5e53db09ec8c8.jpg'><br \/><em>Gu\u00f0n\u00fd S\u00e6bj\u00f6rg J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir can now receive hemodialysis here in her hometown. With Gu\u00f0n\u00fdja in the picture are Gu\u00f0bj\u00f6rg R\u00f3s Sigur\u00f0ard\u00f3ttir, nurse and hemodialysis supervisor, and J\u00f3hanna A\u00f0alsteinsd\u00f3ttir, Gu\u00f0n\u00fdja&#039;s assistant.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img src='\/hvest\/gamlar_myndir\/l_image5e53db35199ca.jpg'><br \/>Cooperation agreement on hemodialysis signed.
