In some towns where there are few preschool children or the circumstances are demanding, they will be invited in this round, and their guardians will receive information about it directly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vaccination request<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Custodians who share a legal domicile with a child and use electronic IDs must take a stand on the child&#039;s vaccination here: <a href=\"https:\/\/skraning.covid.is\/\">skraning.covid.is<\/a> You can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Register your child for vaccination<\/li><li>List of persons who are authorized to accompany the child during vaccination<\/li><li>Refuse\/wait for vaccination<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the guardian has registered his child for vaccination, he will receive a barcode with an SMS message to the number associated with the electronic ID. It is the guardian&#039;s responsibility to forward the barcode if they want someone else to accompany the child for vaccination. If someone shows up with a child without a barcode at the vaccination site, the child&#039;s ID number is looked up. You can also see if vaccination has been requested and who is registered with permission to attend with the child. In those cases, ID is asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Guardians of children of this age who&nbsp;<strong>not<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>use electronic credentials<\/strong>&nbsp;can attend&nbsp;<strong>themselves<\/strong>&nbsp;with the child at the vaccination site and must have an ID with them.<\/li><li>Parties&nbsp;<strong>without social security number<\/strong>&nbsp;can register their child for vaccination at bolusettn.covid.is (English: vaccine.covid.is) to speed up the process at the vaccination site and then attend&nbsp;<strong>themselves<\/strong>&nbsp;with their child there at the advertised time.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Vaccination pending or refused:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>If a guardian has opted out of vaccination with an electronic ID, another guardian can&nbsp;<strong>not<\/strong>&nbsp;changed it.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Opting out after acceptance disables the issued barcode. An active barcode at the vaccination site is thus a confirmation that approval for vaccination is available.<\/li><li>To opt out of vaccination&nbsp;<strong>without electronic IDs<\/strong>&nbsp;need to send an email to the school nurse at the child&#039;s school. A rejection received this way within 24 hours before the scheduled vaccination cannot be recorded with certainty before the vaccination is carried out. Only legal guardians with a child can opt out of vaccination.<\/li><li>All parties who have registered in the system will be notified of changes to the registration of children in their care.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Disagreements between guardians need to be resolved at another level, vaccination will remain available if the guardians agree that it should be done.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Frequently asked questions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What about children who have had COVID-19?&nbsp;<\/strong><br>They should wait for vaccination for 3 months after infection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What about children who are sick on the day of vaccination?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They should wait to get vaccinated until they have recovered from the illness. If they turn out to have COVID-19, it is appropriate to wait for vaccination for at least 3 months after the infection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What about children who have had an anaphylaxis to other vaccines or injections?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They should&nbsp;<strong>not<\/strong>&nbsp;to receive a vaccination against COVID-19 except in consultation with a specialist in allergy medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If a parent has more than one child of this age, can they bring both\/all at the same time?&nbsp;<\/strong><br>Yes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If a child does not get vaccinated at the scheduled time, will it be possible to get vaccinated later?<\/strong><br>Yes, the health care in each place advertises arrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who knows if a child is vaccinated?<\/strong><br>Selected healthcare workers have access to the vaccination system. They are all bound by confidentiality. School staff do not receive information from the health care center about whether a child is vaccinated or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Children who will be 12 years old in
