Life is getting back to normal in Patreksfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and neighboring areas after the group infection that occurred last week. In recent days, sampling at the end of quarantine has shown several new infections, showing that quarantine was necessary to prevent further spread. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The community responded exceptionally well. We would like to start by praising our staff who were selfless in the projects that came up. The community center was opened to us in an instant. School administrators, local government staff, field management, the Red Cross and many others were quick to make wise decisions. Residents turned out well for sampling. Special thanks also goes to the companies in the area, including Fj\u00f6lval, Oddi and Arnarlax, which had a hard time saving valuables but did not violate quarantine requirements. None of this was taken for granted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, don't forget that Westfjords have been diligent about getting vaccinated, and now that the booster vaccination is underway, the group infection is a reminder to show up when the invitation comes. The samplings are no longer in the community center and have returned to the hospital. Visits are again allowed to the inpatient unit at Patreksfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. Masks are still mandatory and visitors are asked not to come if they have the slightest symptoms that could be due to a Covid19 infection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
