The institute normally employs 250 people in around 190 full-time positions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The largest establishments are in \u00cdsafj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, where the hospital, health care and nursing home Eyri are run. Patreksfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur has an integrated hospital and nursing department as well as health care. in Bolungarv\u00edk is the nursing home Eyri and health care center. In \u00deingeyri, there is a Tj\u00f6rn nursing home and a health center. There are health care seals in B\u00edldudal, Flateyri, S\u00fa\u00f0av\u00edk, Su\u00f0ureyri and T\u00e1lknafj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Vestfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Health Institute is state-run. The CEO is appointed by the Minister of Health for a five-year term. The executive board makes all major decisions in the organization&#039;s work, but major decisions must be submitted to the organization&#039;s professional council. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
