Bishop Karl Sigurbjörnsson visited the Health Institute around lunchtime today. He ate fish with the employees for lunch and then visited the institute's departments one after the other, accompanied by the managing director Þrastar Óskarsson, Fjölnis Freys Guðmundsson, the chief physician of the health care, Reverend Magnús Erlingsson, priest in Ísafjörður, and Reverend Agnes Sigurðardóttir, provost and priest in Bolungarvík. He greeted the residents of the hospital's geriatric ward, and they clearly appreciated the visit, as Karl is extremely approachable and talkative.
Bishop has traveled around the northern part of Vestfjörður in recent days, and the administrators and staff of the organization thank him and his entourage very much for coming.
